WHISK N WHIP HEADQUARTERS

Welcome to my home office! I recently revamped my guest room/office and after some shipment delays and order hiccups, I’m excited to finally unveil it! With this pandemic, who knows if work life will ever go back to normal. For the first few months, I was working at my dining room table which was incredibly uncomfortable and not great for my back. With our office not going back until 2021, it was essential that I created a work atmosphere where I could focus. Lets be honest, I just didn’t want to be so close to the fridge ;)

When I decided to re-do this room, I had envisioned a creative space/home office for both my full time jobs (corporate 9-6 and my blog 6-12) where I felt happy and inspired. My wall art from Etsy does exactly that, it gives me the beachy Cali vibes but also inspires me to continue on this journey where I find so much happiness.

I loved picking every detail of this room, from the desk to the cell phone holder that is shaped like a hand (how cool is that?). Also, I feel super grateful for YOUR votes in helping me select the perfect chair. It’s so comfy and love love LOVE this color green. Really pops!

I am type A and love to have things organized and in order, especially my upcoming posts. Also, a biggie for me, and a MUST in any office, are fresh flowers for an instant dose of happy.

I purchased the entire furniture set from World Market, which included a dresser, bookshelf, side table and office desk. Loving the Acacia wood and brass detail as it brightens up the entire room. My bookshelf is a happy place in itself. So many great cookbooks that I reference and draw inspiration from along with photos from our wedding and travels to remind me what I am working so hard for.

On the weekends, this room becomes my second oasis (aside from my kitchen).  Having had a rough upbringing (more on that soon), I loved reading as a kid because it would take me to a different world. I love to get lost in a good book like Glennon Doyle’s Untamed where I feel I can dominate the world, or a fiction novel that transports me to a place filled with mystery.

Some days, I dream about writing my own book. This is why I journal so much. Journaling is not only therapeutic for me but also a great way to document my life and put my dreams/hopes on paper. I truly believe words have so much power and when you write them down, that’s when you plant the seed.

Also, how comfy does this bed look? The linen duvet and shams are from Pottery Barn and the alpaca pillows and throw are from CB2 and it gives me all the fall vibes!
