GREYHOUND

Happy Friday! Citrus season is in full swing over on WNW. Let’s be honest, it’s always citrus season in my house. I keep a bowl filled with citrus fruit in my kitchen because I use it so much in my recipes and cocktails are no different. Love a refreshing cocktail with a bit that makes me pucker up and this Greyhound reminds me of summer, With only 3 ingredients and the temperatures warming up here in Cali, I’ll be making these more often. Greyhounds (AKA Salty Dogs) are my next favorite drink besides margaritas of course.

Let’s get started shall we:

Using a Cuisinart Pulp Control Citrus Juicer, juice 1-2 grapefruits.

Cut slices of half a grapefruit and rub on the rim of glasses. Dip in kosher salt.

In a larger shaker pour in 1 cup of ice, vodka, simple syrup, and fresh grapefruit juice. Shake for 30 seconds. Pour into the crackled highball glasses and enjoy!
